So many days…

So many days gone by… so many days of strife and grief…
2017 was a year to forget, for too terribly many reasons.

So much ugliness…

But then there are those moments… when you remember what’s really important…
When you count yourself blessed, for having been allowed to witness such things as the above…

So many things conspire to make you forget.
People and their own priorities… their own selfishnesses.
Weather peccadilloes… scheduling variances… the luck of the draw…

And still… if you’re fortunate, and paying attention…
You’ll notice that the sun sets, at the end of each day.
And will rise once more, on the morrow.

Here’s to a year of increased attention to what’s important in life; to the things that make getting out of bed worth it.

May your 2018 be full to the brim of such moments!

The most beautifully written happy new year message I’ve read!!!! Hope you’re okay dear friend. I miss you! I fly back to NY tomorrow morning. I hope we can catch up soon. I want to give you my new album and see you. I bought a nice camera so I can film the documentary about women singing in Judaism. How are you?

Sending much love and wishing you the bliss of the moment. xx
